A rich lemony cheescake bar with a nutty crust and topping. Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 cups flour |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1/4 cup milk |
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel |
4 teaspoons lemon juice |
2 eggs |
Directions:
1. Beat butter and sugar. Blend in flour and nuts. 2. Reserve two cups of mixture; press the rest into a 9x13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. 3. Beat cream cheese and sugar. Add milk, lemon peel, juice, and eggs and beat until smooth. 4. Pour over crust; sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. 5. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool. Cut in to bars. |
