Leek And Cauliflower Puff |

Can be a nice appetizer to a main course or a nice snacks for tea. Ingredients:
all-purpose flour on work surface |
3 sheets store-bought puff pastry, thawed (i used borg’s puff pastry) |
3 cups leeks jullienne |
2 cups chop cauliflower |
1 teaspoon fresh dill |
1 teaspoon fresh marjorom leaves |
sea salt and ground pepper, to taste |
1 cup red cheddar shredded or break into small chunks |
40 gms of unsalted butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Prepare the filling: Fry the cauliflower in butter for 2 minutes, add leeks and fry till its soft. Add chopped majorom and dill and fry for another 5 to 7 mins. Turn off the heat and let cool. Add in shredded cheddar. 3. Prepare crust: On a lightly floured work surface, cut all 3 sheets of pastry into four. 4. Place the filling on one side of the pastry square and fold over and sealed all 4 corners with a fork. 5. Bake for about 10 - 15 mins till the crust of the pubb is golden brown. |
