HERE'S ANOTHER SUPER EASY RECIPE.I STARTED MAKING THESE WHEN I WAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD- AND THEY ARE GOOD-BETTER THAN THE POTATO PANCAKES Ingredients:
complete pancake mix(just add water-any brand) |
1 regular size can of whole kernal corn not creamed |
oil for frying |
Directions:
1. IN MED SIZE MIXING BOWL EMPTY CONTENTS OF CORN INCLUDING LIQUID 2. ADD PANCAKE MIX A LITTLE AT A TIME MIXING WELL AFTER EACH 3. UNTIL THE BATTER IS A NICE CONSISTANCY-YOU MAY NEED TO ADD WATER IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH LIQUID IN CAN OF CORN 4. SHOULD BE ON THE THICK SIDE BUT NOT TOO THICK 5. HEAT OIL IN LARGE SAUCEPAN ON MED-HIGH HEAT 6. OIL SHOULD COVER 1/3 FROM BOTTOM 7. TEST OIL WITH SMALL AMOUNT OF BATTER SHOULD START FRYING IMMEDIATELY 8. WHEN READY USE LARGE SERVING SPOON TO SCOOP BATTER 9. AND GENTLY SPOON INTO OIL LET BROWN ON BOTH SIDES SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 5 MINUTES TOTAL 10. REMOVE FROM OIL DRAIN ON PAPER TOWELS 11. SERVE WITH LOTS OF BUTTER AND MAPLE SYRUP - ENJOY! |
