This is a fast and easy way of getting in and out of the kitchen when you are in charge of the dessert Ingredients:
2 large cans or 4 small cans of peaches |
1c of sugar or more to taste |
1 t of cinnamon |
1 stick of butter |
take out 1 cup of juice for the topping |
topping |
1 c of bisquick |
1 egg |
1 t of cinnamon |
1 c of juice from peach filling |
topping if you don't have bisquick |
1 c of flour |
1/2 cup of milk (or juice from peaches) |
1 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp of sugar |
1 t of cinnamon |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. 13x 9 inch pan. Pour peaches in a bowl juice and all. Add sugar (taste to see how sweet you want it), cinnamon. Cut in 1 stick of butter. Mix together. Take out about 1 cup of liquid to use for the topping. Butter or spray the pan. Pour peach mixture in the pan 3. Topping: 4. Mix bisquick, egg, cinnamon and the juice from the peach filling instead of water or milk (if it is too thick, add a little milk to thin it out. Just make sure the batter is not too thick (but not too thin either) 5. If you don’t have bisquick: 6. mix flour, milk (or juice from peaches), baking powder, sugar, Cinnamon and egg. Again if its too thick, just add a little more milk or peach juice. 7. Pour topping over peaches and bake at 350 degrees until crust is brown about 35 minutes. I rub a little butter on the crust when it’s done. 8. Serve warm topped with vanilla icecream or cool whip |
