Another recipe from Hawai'i's Best Local Dishes by Jean Watanabe Hee. I haven't tried this but it does sound easy and tasty. For a variation add potatoes, onions and carrots in the last hour cooking. Ingredients:
2 lbs chuck steaks |
1 (1 7/8 ounce) envelope onion soup mix |
1 (12 ounce) can beer |
Directions:
1. Cut chuck steak into portion size pieces. Combine all ingredients in baking dish. Cover and bake 3 hours at 300 degrees F or until meat is tender and there is a rich gravy. 2. *For a variation add potatoes, onions and carrots in the last hour of cooking. |
