Layered Summer Salad With Creamy Vidalia Onion Dressing |

This recipe is a little more gourmet than the standard 7 layer salad. You can make your own sun dried tomatoes for a fraction of the cost. the recipe can be found on my page Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1 small vidalia onion, grated |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
1/8 teaspoon sea salt |
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper |
8 ounces green beans |
1 (14 ounce) can garbanzo beans |
2 kirby cucumbers, sliced |
2 roasted red peppers, diced |
1 head iceberg lettuce |
2 cups sun-dried tomatoes, chopped |
1 cup crumbled blue cheese |
Directions:
1. To make the dressing, combine mayo, buttermilk, onion, celery seed, salt and pepper. 2. Layer veggies and cheese and dressing in a pretty bowl and chill. |
