Easy to make ahead of time, fast and fresh, fresh, fresh flavor. Ingredients:
4 c. baby spinach leaves |
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar |
2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 small red onion, sliced, seperate into rings |
2 tomatoes, chopped |
10 oz. fresh or frozen green peas, cooked, drained, cooled |
1/2 c. mayo(not miracle) |
1/2 c. sour cream |
1/4 c. chopped fresh basil |
optional: 5 slices crispy bacon, drained and crumbled |
a 3 qt. clear glass serving bowl |
Directions:
1. In layers: 2. Spinach 3. 1 c. of the cheese 4. mushrooms 5. onions 6. tomatoes 7. peas( should be on top) 8. set aside 9. mix together the mayo, sour cream, and basil 10. spread over the peas, completely covering the top of salad 11. cover and refrigerate at least 5 hours. 12. garnish with remaining cheese and bacon(if used) just before serving |
