My mother-in-law sent this recipe to me. I'm putting it here so that I don't lose it. Prep time includes refrigeration time. Ingredients:
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries |
3 tablespoons sugar |
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened |
1 1/2 cups cold milk |
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding |
2 cups whipped topping, divided |
2 cups frozen pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes |
1 square semisweet chocolate |
Directions:
1. Combine berries and sugar. Refrigerate until ready to use. 2. Beat cream cheese with a mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in milk. 3. Add pudding mix; mix well. 4. Blend in 1 1/2 cups whipped topping. 5. Spoon half of the mixture into a 2 1/2-quart bowl. 6. Top with cake, berries, and remaining cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate 4 hours. 7. Melt chocolate; drizzle over dessert. 8. Top with remaining whipped topping. |
