I created this dessert when I had to come up with something real quick for a get together. It turned out to be quite a hit! Ingredients:
1 angel food cake, prepared and torn into bite-size pieces |
1 (24 ounce) container philadelphia ready-to-eat cheesecake filling |
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced |
2 cups fresh blueberries |
1 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 tablespoon sugar |
Directions:
1. In a small greased pan, toast walnuts until golden. Sprinkle with sugar and transfer to a plate to cool. 2. In a large bowl (I use a glass bowl to show the pretty layers), cover the bottom with one layer of the angel food cake. Top with about 1/3 of the cheesecake filling. 3. Arrange 1/3 of the strawberries and blueberries for the next layer. Sprinkle 1/3 of walnuts. 4. Repeat Layers. You should be able to get about 3 layers depending on the size of bowl you use. 5. Refridgerate until chilled, about 1 hour. |
