This salad is a great option for a cook out or just a lazy weekend at home. Ingredients:
1 head lettuce |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 cup cooked elbow macaroni |
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided in half) |
1 (15 ounce) can peas, drained (divided in half) |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 carrot, chopped |
1 cup cauliflower, chopped |
3 eggs, hard boiled and shelled |
1/8 cup bacon, crumbled or 1/8 cup bacon bits |
2 cups mayonnaise |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
Directions:
1. In a large salad bowl cut lettuce to bite size pieces. 2. Layer the ingredients as follows:. 3. Onions, macaroni, 1 cup cheese, 1/2 can peas, green pepper, carrot, cauliflower, eggs, rest of the cheese, rest of the peas,and bacon. 4. Dressing:. 5. Mix mayo and sugar until well combined. 6. Pour over salad. 7. Let set in the refrigerator at least 6 hours, 12 hours if possible. |
