Lawrys Creamed Spinach

Lawry's Restaurant delicious Creamed Spinach right in your own kitchen. Easy to make and very tasty. It's also healthy for you. Serves 6.
Ingredients:
two 10-ounce packages frozen chopped spinach.
4 slices bacon, chopped in small pieces.
1 small onion, minced.
4 tablespoons flour, all purpose.
2 teaspoons lawry's seasoned salt.
1 or 2 teaspoon lawry's seasoned pepper.
2 cloves garlic, minced.
2 cups whole milk, warmed.
Directions:
1. Cook spinach according to package directions; drain well.
2. Fry the bacon until crisp, remove and set aside.
3. Remove most, but not all, of the bacon drippings from the pan.
4. Saute the onion in the remaining pan drippings until very tender, about 10 minutes.
5. Add bacon bits back into the onion mixture and cook a couple more minutes.
6. Remove onion/bacon mixture from heat and stir in flour, seasoned salt and pepper, and garlic. (It will be a thick paste/roux).
7. Add the warmed milk all at once.
8. Return to medium heat and stir until smooth and thickened.
9. Add spinach and mix thoroughly.
10. Keep warm until ready to serve.
