This is supposed to be like the famous Prime Rib Houses creamed spinach. All I know is that it is very tasty. Ingredients:
6 slices bacon, finely chopped |
1 cup finely chopped onion |
1/4 cup flour |
2 teaspoons season salt (lawrys preferred) |
1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper (lawrys preferred) |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon parsley |
1 3/4 cups milk |
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen spinach, cooked and drained |
Directions:
1. In a medium skillet, cook bacon until almost crisp. 2. Add onion to bacon and cook until onion is tender about 10 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Add flour and seasonings; blend well. 5. Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir over low heat until thickened. 6. Add spinach and mix well. 7. If too thick add more milk. |
