LAVISH CREAMED SPINACH This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tinsley Estate in Venus, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1/4 cup flour |
2-1/2 cups heavy cream |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg |
1 bag fresh spinach washed and stems removed |
Directions:
1. Melt butter then add flour and brown slightly. 2. Add cream slowly stirring until thick then add cheese and nutmeg. 3. Stir until blended then add spinach and continue stirring until spinach melts. |
