Lavender- Honey Chicken Breast |

This recipe has a very unique taste- is spicy, sweet and aromatic. Quite a treat. I got out of the SFChronicle in 2000. Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts |
1/2 cup honey |
1 tablespoon fresh lavender flowers |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
salt |
Directions:
1. Wash the chicken breasts well, remove the skin and pat dry. 2. combine honey, lavender blossoms, and black pepper in a small bowl and set aside. 3. Sprinkle the chicken breasts with salt, pepper and lavender blossoms-rub well and place in a baking dish. 4. Bake 1 hour 350 degrees. 5. The last half hour of baking, baste the chicken with the honey mixture several times until the chicken is golden brown and cooked completely. |
