Makes a lot of soup. Hope you're hungry Number of servings is a guess. Unlike other beer soup recipes on Zaar, this has no cheese. Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef |
6 cups water |
6 beef bouillon cubes |
2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes |
2 (12 ounce) cans beer |
2 cups sliced carrots |
2 cups sliced onions |
2 cups sliced celery |
2 cups sliced turnips |
2 cups sliced potatoes |
2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
salt |
pepper |
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen cut green beans |
1 cup spaghetti, broken into 1 inch pieces |
Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef in a very large pot. Drain well. 2. Add liquid ingredients, bouillon cubes and seasonings. 3. Add vegetables according to length of time they take to cook. (e.g. turnips, potatoes and carrots before onions). 4. Cook on low for awhile until vegetables are soft. 5. Add green beans, spaghetti and beer towards the end of cooking. |
