Lasagna. the Best in the World |

This is so good! The best lasagna that I ever made! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 cup finely chopped yellow onion |
3 -4 minced garlic cloves |
3/4-1 lb ground beef |
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
1/2 cup red wine |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 1/4 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon basil |
1 teaspoon oregano |
3 dashes tabasco sauce |
1 dash black pepper |

1 lb lasagna noodle |
1 cup low fat cottage cheese |
1 cup fresh parmesan cheese, shredded |
1 lb mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in skillet. 2. Saute onion, garlic, and meat. 3. Mix in separate pot first the rest of sauce ingredients, then add to the meat mixture, cover, simmer/low boil, 1 hour, stirring occasionally. 4. Cook noodles to tender, not full. Drain in cold water, blot dry and set aside. 5. Putting together:. 6. Spread sauce, thin! layer. 7. Cover with 3 (or 4 if you’re using larger baking dish) noodles. 8. Spread w/ thicker layer of sauce. 9. Dot with spoonfuls of cottage cheese (half). 10. Sprinkle w/ parmesan cheese (half). 11. 6 or so slices of mozzarella. 12. Then repeat. 13. Then, the top layer has noodles, rest of sauce (should be a nice layer), and rest of mozzarella slices. 14. Let sit in fridge overnight (or if you need to, you can cook it now - reduce cooking time by about 10 minutes or so). Take out of fridge 30-60 minutes before cooking. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until golden hot and bubbly (make sure middle is hot!). |
