Mom's Lasagna Ingredients:
8 ounces pacakge lasagna noodles |
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 teaspoon season salt |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 (1 1/2 ounce) package spaghetti sauce mix |
16 ounces tomato sauce |
mozzarella cheese, slices |
cottage cheese |
1 (2 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms |
Directions:
1. Brown meat and drain. 2. Add salt, garlic and pepper to taste. 3. Cook slowly uncovered 10 minutes. 4. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix and mushrooms. 5. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. 6. Meanwhile cook lasagna according to directions. 7. Drain & Rinse. 8. In a 8x12x2 baking dish, pour 1/3 of meat sauce. 9. Cover with lasagna strips, then mozzarella and spoonfuls of cottage cheese. 10. Repeat layers ending with meat sauce. 11. Bake 350 until bubbly. |
