My Dad's meatball recipe-it must be good; he's a fireman!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/3 cup minced onion
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 dash salt and pepper
12 ounces bottle chili sauce
10 ounces jar grape jelly
Directions:
1. In a large bowl with plenty of room to get your hands down in it, mix together all ingredients except the chili sauce and the grape jelly. Mix gently, as you don't want to pack the mixture together. Form meatballs and line up on a cookie sheet. I make my meatballs approximately 1-1/4 , but you can make yours larger or smaller. Bake in a 350° oven for approximately 45 minutes, or until meatballs are no longer pink. Turn approximately halfway through the baking process. If you prefer, meatballs can be cooked in a skillet on top of the stove.
2. While meatballs are baking, combine entire contents of grape jelly and chili sauce jars into a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until combined.
3. To serve, move cooked meatballs to a crock-pot and pour sauce over top. Mix gently and serve with toothpicks.
