Everyone has their own family chocolate cake. This is mine. For the simplest of cakes and is really yummy Ingredients:
4 ounces butter |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 cups sugar (2 small teacups) |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
2 teaspoons golden syrup |
2 cups milk (2 breakfast cups) |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda, dissolved in the milk |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
Directions:
1. cream butter and sugar.
2. add eggs.
3. mix well.
4. add flour, cocoa, milk with soda and golden syrup.
5. lastly add baking powder.
6. mix well.
7. bake in large baking dish in moderate oven 35-40 minutes.
