Almost as simple as a brownie mix . . . and they're decadent!! I use only real butter, real vanilla, and real, quality chocolate chips! Cook's note: The flour is an unsifted measure - I lightly spoon the flour into the measuring cups. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
3/4 cup cocoa powder |
2 cups sugar |
4 eggs, beaten |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups flour, unsifted |
1 cup chocolate chips |
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F Butter a 9X13 pan. 2. Microwave butter 90 seconds; add cocoa and stir till mixed. 3. Add remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips and nuts) one at a time, stirring by hand only till blended. Add flour all at once - do not over mix. 4. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. 5. Pour into prepared baking pan; bake in preheated oven 28 to 32 minutes or until done. Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into center (away from chocolate chip) comes out clean. These brownies are good chilled. |
