Lana - Nana - Bo Bana- Banana Bread

Why compromise the banana flavor? This banana bread is moist and delicious with loads of banana flavor! A fabulous, wholesome snack or start for your day!
Ingredients:

i have lowered the fat count in my traditional
banana bread and added additional
wholesomeness! (hope you all like it
you may use more nuts if desired..i was running low on
them.)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
1/2 cup (or more) chopped nuts of your choice
preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
in a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon,and salt.
in a separate bowl
cream together butter and brown sugar.
add apple sauce and blend well.
stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
fold in chopped nuts and raisins
stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
