I picked out two shoullder of lamb steaks and then did not know what to do with them. I love braised meats so I came up with a recipe and it turned out really good. so here it is,I hope you will try it and like it. Ingredients:
16 ounces shoulder lamb steaks |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1/2 sweet onion, small |
4 garlic cloves |
1 teaspoon rosemary |
2 teaspoons garlic salt |
3/4 cup red wine |
5 tablespoons low-fat sour cream |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Chop the onion fairly small. Chop the cloves the same as the onion.put in your cooking pan with the olive oil onion and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes. at about the 3 min mark add rosemary Garlic salt and pepper.Add wine and meat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes at 30 minutes turn meat over and continue cooking. After 45 min take the top off and simmer 3 minutesTake meat out and put on plates Add sour cream and wisk into liguid. cook for 2 minutes and put on meat and serve. Recipe can be doubled. If more sour cream is need please add. The same with spices. |
