This is my standard casserole recipe - the veg might change, as might the meat. Cooking time depends on what else I'm doing (I'm a uni student) and temperature is low-ish but might change if housemates are also trying to cook. The gravy produced isn't very thick Eat with dumplings or nice thick bread to soak up the gravy Ingredients:
250 g lamb |
1 onion |
6 mushrooms (a handful) |
1 1/2 pints warm water |
1 vegetable stock cube (or 1.5 pints of a suitable stock) |
rosemary |
Directions:
1. Chop lamb and vegetables up put in a casserole dish. 2. (Dissolve stock cube in warm water if necessary). Pour stock over meat and vegetables& add a good sprinkling of rosemary. 3. Cook for about 2 hours at 190°C. |
