I created this recipe because I can't stand the sloppy joe mix in a can. Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger or 1 lb ground turkey |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell tomato soup |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce |
1 teaspoon prepared mustard |
1/2 onion, chopped |
1/4 green bell pepper, chopped |
salt & pepper |
garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger with onion and green pepper in large skillet; drain well. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes and stir occasionally. 3. Spoon mixture over toasted hamburger buns and top with shredded cheddar cheese. |
