These cookies are very thin and lacy. They are almost candy like.. you can either leave them flat or roll them into little tubes.. I've had this recipe so long I don't know where I got it.. Ingredients:
1 cup sesame seeds ( i use untoasted unhulled seeds) |
1 cup butter |
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar firmly packed |
1 egg |
3/4 cup flour |
1/4 teasp. baking powder |
1 teasp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix butter, sugar, and egg until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and mix 2. mix flour and the baking powder toghether and add to the butter mixture. mix well 3. add sesame seeds 4. bake at 350' for 8-10 mins. on a lightly greased cookie sheet 5. the tricky part is getting them off the cookie sheet.. if you try too soon they just squish up and if you try to late they shatter... You need to let them cool slightly before take them off. imediately roll them if you are going to. if not just put on a cookie rack to finish cooling.. |
