This makes about 6 1/2 dozen cookies. They break easily, so cool completely before taking from sheets. Ingredients:
1 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked |
1 cup sugar |
7 teaspoons all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Combine the first 4 ingredients; mix well. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients. 3. Drop by 1/2 teaspoon 3 inches apart onto aluminum foil-lined cookie sheets. 4. Bake at 350° for 6 to 8 minutes, or until edges are brown. 5. Cool completely before removing. |
