These sound wonderful! Anything fried has to be good! UPDATE: After Kiwi's problems, I must caution anyone trying this recipe. I had not tried them before posting this recipe. I am hoping to make these and figure out what is needed to make it a good recipe! Ingredients:
1 lb roasted peanuts |
1/4 cup peanut oil (to taste) |
1 small onion, finely chopped |
1 teaspoon cayenne |
1 teaspoon salt |
oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. Grind or pound the nuts adding just enough oil to make a smooth paste. 2. With wet hands, squeeze the mixture to remove any excess oil. 3. Sauté the onions, cayenne & salt in a tablespoon of oil until golden. 4. Knead into the nut paste. 5. Shape into 1 diameter balls adding a few drops of water if necessary to make them hold together. 6. Drop the balls into hot oil or flatten & fry in a skillet. 7. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the outsides are crisp. |
