I found this recipe in the newspaper 30 years ago. It was so unusual that I had to try it. I've been making it ever since. Don't skip the butter on the buns! Ingredients:
2 cups drained sauerkraut |
1 (7 ounce) package tuna |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/4 cup diced green pepper |
2 tablespoons chopped onions |
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish |
1/4 teaspoon celery salt |
6 hamburger buns, split and buttered |
Directions:
1. Combine kraut, tuna, mayonnaise, green pepper, onion, relish and celery salt. 2. Mix well and chill. 3. Fill hamburger buns with kraut-tuna salad. |
