An easy appetizer, if you like sauerkraut this ones for you!!!!! Ingredients:
1 large can or jar of sauerkraut, drained and chopped fine |
1 large onion chopped fine |
1 pound of sausage hot or mild |
1/4 pound ground chuck |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
dry mustard to the taste |
1/2 cup bread crumbs |
1 egg; beaten |
for dipping balls...................... |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup milk |
bread crumbs |
Directions:
1. Cook all together,.......( except bread crumbs and egg).cook until meat is browned, ...remove from heat. 2. mix in the bread crumbs and beaten egg...let cool............. 3. shape into balls. 4. then dip into 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of milk, beaten together, roll into bread crumbs. place on cookie sheet . 5. bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until browned. |
