Russian-style meat balls Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb lean ground beef |
4 slices white bread |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. Soak slices of white bread in water until completely saturated and falling apart. Squish to force the water out of the bread as much as possible, then mix into the ground beef. Knead as if it were dough. Add 1 egg to the mixture and continue kneading until completely homogeneous. Add salt and spices to taste: I recommend ground black pepper, garlic, paprika, dried tomato and basil powder. Form into medium-sized meat balls and brown on both sides over high heat. |
