Those wonderful Klondike bars you buy in the freezer section of the grocery store? They were born in Pittsburgh. Yup. At Isaly's. They used to be at least twice as thick as they are now, but they are still a yummy treat. Read more . Here's a frozen dessert that uses them to best advantage! Found this at AAA recipes on the web. Ingredients:
2 plain klondike bars |
3 shots creme de menthe liqueur |
3 shots milk |
whipped cream (optional) |
Directions:
1. Blend together chocolate-covered ice cream bars, liqueur and milk. Pour into four champagne glasses and freeze. This dessert will separate into three layers as it freezes. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired. |
