I've been making these forever- wonderful with any meal! Ingredients:
4 cups water |
1 cup quick-cooking grits |
12 ounces new york state sharp cheddar cheese, shredded |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup milk |
3 large eggs, well beaten |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. Bring water to boil in large saucepan. Add grits; return to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 2. Add cheese, butter, milk, eggs, and garlic. Stir until cheese is melted, app. 5 minutes. 3. Pour into a sprayed 2 quart baking dish. Bake 1 hour. |
