Kiwifruit Sorbet

This is a lovely green sorbet to have on a hot day!
Ingredients:
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup water
8 ripe kiwi, coarsely chopped
2 tbsp. lemon juice
sliced kiwi for garnish
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and water in small saucepan. Heat and stir on low until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil. Do not stir. Remove from heat. Cool completely.
2. Put kiwi, lemon juice and sugar mixture into food processor. Process until smooth. Pour into plastic wrap-lined 9 x 9 pan. Freeze for 2 hours. Remove from pan. Discard plastic wrap. Cut fruit mixture into pieces. Transfer to food processor. Process until smooth. Return to same pan, lined with plastic wrap. Freeze for 4 to 6 hours until firm. Let stand at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
3. Garnish individual servings with kiwi slices. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
