Something a bit different! Ingredients:
8 slices stale toasted bread |
2 kiwi fruits, finely sliced |
unsalted butter, softened |
1 cup milk |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon vegetable oil |
white sugar |
greek yogurt, to serve |
Directions:
1. Method: 2. Preheat oven to 170°C. 3. Butter bread on one side and make sandwiches with kiwifruit. 4. Whisk up milk, egg, vanilla and cinnamon. 5. Heat oil and a knob of butter in a heavy-based frypan. 6. Dunk sandwiches in milk on both sides, to coat well, and fry until brown on both sides. T. 7. hen place in oven and cook about 3 minutes Turn over, sprinkle with a little sugar and cook for another 3 minutes. 8. Cut sandwiches in half and serve with a dollop of yoghurt on the side. |
