Dad's Kitcherie Recipe Ingredients:
1 tbsp ghee |
1/2 tsp cumin, coriander, turmeric |
1/2 cup mung beans |
1/2 cup basmati rice |
1/2 tsp sea salt |
1 tbsp fresh ginger |
Directions:
1. Melt 1 TBSP Ghee 2. Sautee 1/2 tsp each of the following: cumin, coriander, turmeric 3. Add 1/2 cup Dahl and 1/2 cup Basmati rice 4. Add 1/2 tsp sea salt to taste 5. Add 2-3 of minced, fresh ginger 6. Bring to boil in 4-6 cups water, and simmer covered for 20 minutes 7. You can top each serving with a tsp of ghee and serve hot. |
