An easy version of chocoalte filled croissants found in bakeries. Quick and delicious! Ingredients:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. refrigerated crescent dinner rolls |
24 chocolate kisses |
powdered sugar |
glaze: (optional) |
chocolate kisses |
1 t heavy cream or half and half |
1 t butter |
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 375 F. 2. Separate the crescent dough into 8 triangles. 3. Remove the wrappers from the chocolates. 4. Place 2 chocolates at the wide end of each triangle; place an additional chocolate on top of the other two kisses. 5. Starting at the wide end, roll the dough to the opposite point; pinch the edges to seal. 6. Place the rolls, pointed side down, on an ungreased cookie sheet. Curve the rolls into crescent shapes. 7. Bake for 10 minutes or until the rolls are lightly browned. 8. Cool them slightly; sift them lightly with the powdered sugar. 9. Drizzle with Chocolate Glaze if desired 10. Serve warm. 11. GLAZE 12. Melt the rest of the kisses with 1 T butter and 1 T heavy cream for a glaze to drizzle over the crescents. |
