The latest rage in the New Orleans area is Lucky Player King Cake Vodka. It was created by a local, but made with French vodka. Like the traditional king cake, this is a very sweet cocktail. Think of it as liquid King Cake. Ingredients:
gold colored crystal sugar (can be purchased at walmart) |
2 ounces lucky player king cake vodka |
2 ounces pineapple juice |
1/2 ounce coconut syrup |
1/2 fresh lime juice |
sparkling soda water or sparkling wine, to top |
Directions:
1. Rim a Collins-type glass with gold colored sugar.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker; shake. Pour into an ice-filled cocktail glass rimmed with gold-colored sugar. Top with soda water or sparkling wine.
