                    Coolies that are a great sub for oatmeal. The recipe makes 44-1 oz cookies so a serving is two cookies-perfect with a glass of milk and a piece a fruit for 3 carb servings. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1/2 cup flour, whole wheat  |  
                                                3 cups oatmeal  |  
                                                1/2 cup wheat germ  |  
                                                1/4 cup cinnamon  |  
                                                1 tsp baking soda  |  
                                                2 eggs  |  
                                                1 tsp vanilla  |  
                                                1 cup unsweetened applesauce  |  
                                                1/2 cup brown sugar  |  
                                                1 cup raisins or craisins  |  
                                                1 cup pecans  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Combine eggs, applesauce, vanilla, and sugar. 2. mix flour, wheat germ, cinnamon, and soda and mix in. 3. add craisins and pecans. 4. add oatmeal one cup at a time 5. bake at 375 for 10 minutes                              |
