Killer Hazelnut Brownie Bars |

These brownies are decadent and delicious. Ingredients:
1 stick butter,softened,plus extra for greasing the pan |
1c turbinado sugar |
1/2 vanilla bean,split and seeds scraped |
1/4 tsp vanilla extract |
2 eggs |
1/4 c flour |
1/4 c cake flour |
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder |
1/4 tsp baking powder |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/3 c chopped hazelnuts |
grenadine frosting |
1 stick butter,softened |
2 c powdered sugar |
2 tbs grenadine |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Line 8x8 baking pan with parchment Lightly grease and flour. 3. In standing mixer with paddle attachment,cream together butter,sugar,vanilla seeds and vanilla extract. Add eggs and mix till well incorporated. 4. Mix together dry ingredients and add slowly to egg mixture. Mix till well incorporated. 5. Popur the batter into prepared pan. Spread evenly,add hazelnuts to the top. 6. Bake 22 to 25 mins until brownies are set and begin to pull away from the side. 7. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack. Once cooled,remove brownies from pan and cut into 11/2 squares for individual bites. 8. Frosting: In large bowl use mixer to cream butter and slowly add powdered sugar. Add grenadine and mix until frosting consistency 9. is reached. 10. Prepare frosting in piping bag and pipe onto individual brownie bites. |
