This sweet and easy chili is sure to warm up the whole family on cooler fall nights. When I made this chili I doubled the recipe with no problem. I used a combo of ground turkey and ground beef. I had already cooked meat on hand so I used dried minced onion. I thought this was a bit bland so I added alot more chili powder and alot of onion powder. Overall my family really liked this, even my picky 8 yr old newphew. I have not tried this just posting for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
15 3/4 ounces pork and beans |
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained |
10 3/4 ounces condensed tomato soup, undiluted |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, cook turkey and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. 2. Stir in the remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minute or until heated through. |
