If you dont have oats for this recipe you can use breadcrumbs. Also you can swap teh vegemite for marmite. Eat either in a bun or with a green salad & greek yogurt. Ingredients:
100 g onions, finley chopped |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
420 g kidney beans, mashed |
100 g carrots, grated |
75 g rolled oats |
1 tablespoon vegemite |
handful basil leaves, torn |
Directions:
1. Fry the onion & garlic in half the oil until just brown, then combine the remaining ingredients.When cool enough to handle, form into 6 burger shapes. 2. Brush the burgers with the remaining oil & gril on high for 3 minutes on each side. 3. Serve. |
