Tired of boring stuffed green peppers? Try these baked jalepenos with a delicious cream cheese filling full of flavor! Great as an appetizer or side. Ingredients:
1 lb mild sausage |
1 package neufchatel cheese or cream cheese block |
15-20 fresh jalepeno peppers |
parmesan cheese to taste |
Directions:
1. Cut stems off all peppers. 2. Cut pepper down the middle long way. 3. Use a spoon to remove all seeds,etc from the inside of the peppers. 4. Brown sausage and drain. 5. Preheat oven to 350. 6. Cut up neufchatel cheese into little blocks and melt into the sausage until well blended. 7. Using a spoon fill each of the peppers (should look like little boats) with the sausage mixture. 8. Place on greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. 9. Bake for 30 minutes or until peppers are soft and top is lightly browned. |
