This recipe was created by my son Kegan O'Killion. It was inspired by a common condiment found in Utah.... Fry Sauce. Fry Sauce is a simple combination of ketchup and mayo. Some call it Thousand Island dressing...maybe! We fooled around with this basic concept and came up with a really tangy BBQ sauce that was presented to his 30 friends at work and they all raved about it. Ingredients:
1 cup barbecue sauce (we used kc masterpiece with smoked bourbon) |
1/2 cup mayonnaise (hellman's or something similar) |
1/2 teaspoon dried chipotle powder (pensey's) |
1/2 teaspoon lime juice |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Mix the BBQ and mayo together and then mix all the rest of the ingredients together. You may want to play with the amount of garlic and lime juice. Also, I've made this with adobo sauce for extra heat and it came out great. |
