My sisters recipe. The rose water and coconut give it such a delicate flavor, the perfect palate cleanser for a spicy Indian meal! For Zaar World Tour 8 Ingredients:
2 cups coconut milk |
2 cups milk |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 cup basmati rice |
1/4 cup raisins |
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1/2-1 teaspoon rose water |
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted |
1/4 cup chopped pistachios |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan bring milks and sugar to a boil. Add rice and lower heat to a simmer. Cook and stir often until the rice is tender and mixture thickens, about 20-30 minutes. 2. Stir in the raisins, cardamom and rose water. Put in serving bowls and garnish with almonds and pistachios. |
