A one-pot curry that also needs 4 cloves 4 cardamom pods, opened 2.5cm (1 inch) cinnamon stick Ingredients:
3 tablespoon oil |
1 onion |
6 peppercorns |
2 teaspoon garlic |
2 teaspoon ginger |
1 tablespoon tomato paste |
150 g tomatoes |
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder |
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder |
2 teaspoon coriander powder |
3 potatoes |
450 g ground beef |
250 ml water |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil and add the onion and the whole spices. 2. When the onion has browned, add the garlic and ginger and fry for 3 minutes. 3. Add the tomato paste and let it stand in the oil for at least 2 minutes before stirring. 4. Now add the rest of the ingredients, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, until the potatoes and ground beef have cooked. 5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve. |
