I know, I know. This is not the traditional key lime pie, but it is good. If they are available, I do use fresh key limes. It's just that they are rarely in my small town. I use fresh limes, however, and not the bottled juice. Ingredients:
1 graham cracker crust |
1 (12 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
1 teaspoon lime zest |
4 ounces lime juice |
5 ounces cream cheese |
sweetened whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Whip cream cheese, condensed milk, and lime zest until smooth. 2. Add the lime juice and blend well. 3. Pour into the prepared crust. 4. Chill until set and top with whipped cream. |
