I haven't tried this yet but it is on the menu for Christmas. From Southern Living's Christmas at Home. Ingredients:
2 (14 ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk |
1 cup key lime juice (fresh or bottled) |
2 egg whites |
2 tablespoons sugar |
graham cracker |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and lime juice until blended; set aside. 2. Beat egg whites at high speed until just foamy. 3. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until soft peaks form and sugar is dissolved. 4. Fold egg white mixture into lime mixture. 5. Pour into a 9-inch pie plate. 6. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. 7. Take out of the oven and stir well. 8. Place in a serving bowl and cover; chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours. 9. Serve with graham crackers. |
