Ketchup Marinade for Steak or Chicken |

This is a great marinade for barbecuing, since you don't have to add anything while the steak or chicken is cooking, but it gets a great barbecue sauce flavour. Ingredients:
1/4 cup vinegar |
1/2 cup onion |
1/2 cup water |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Dice onion very finely. 2. Add all other ingredients. 3. Stir well. 4. Pour over chicken or steak. 5. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. 6. Remove meat from marinade and cook on barbecue to desired doneness. 7. Pour marinade into a small pot and bring to a boil. 8. Reduce heat and simmer until fairly thick. 9. Serve warm sauce on the side. |
