Make at home without preservatives, this is a basic recipe that you can add what you like to change taste. Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, use any you want crushed, whole etc |
3/4 cup vinegar |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
4 teaspoons salt, kosher is my favorite |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1/2 cup honey, local raw is best |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to blender and process until smooth. 2. Pour into a pot and bring to a boil. 3. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 1 hour. 4. If it is the consistency that you like (not to runny) then remove from heat. 5. Pour into a bottle with tight fitting lid and place in refrigerator. 6. Enjoy. |
