Kentucky-Style Oven Barbecued Chicken |

Southern Living; family favorite Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
3 1/2 lbs chicken pieces |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
hot cooked rice |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; add chicken and brown on all sides. 2. Remove from skillet, reserving drippings. 3. Place chicken in an 11x7 inch baking dish. 4. Add vinegar and next 5 ingredients to reserved drippings in skillet, stirring to loosen browned particles that cling to bottom. 5. Pour over chicken. 6. Cover and bake chicken at 325 degrees for 45 minutes; uncover and bake 15 minutes more. 7. Serve over rice. |
